1499 "2008" Sponsored  Highland Walk

Brethren from Lodge Buchanan organised a sponsored charity walk, which took place on 19th April 2008. The walk started from Inverarnan to Inversnaid, then a much needed "refreshment break" or basically a couple of pints, them from Inversnaid to Rowardennan and then some more liquid refreshment. The distance was 14 miles and was two sections of the West Highland Way, all completed in one hot summers day. There were 10 brethren that started . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and finished the walk.

The Lodge Buchanan brethren were  Archie Fotheringham (RWM), Paul Kerr, Ian McCutcheon, Euan Hunter, Jim Leary, Derek Stibbs, Fred Stibbs, Billy F Murphy, Stewart Wilson & Stewart Walker (WSW Kirkhill 1230)

Billy Kerr and Willie Rae were  the backup team with the minibus.

RWM Bro. Archie Fotheringham presented a cheque to RWPGM Bro. Jim Jack on the 19th May 2008 on behalf of Lodge Buchanan for the £2065 that was raised, which was to be donated to the 2008/9 Provincial Caravan Appeal.

Below is photographic evidence of their determined hard work, you'll see it was a difficult "slog".

The panoramic views are not too bad either
