BUCHANAN NEWS
The lodge held its annual general meeting on Monday, 3rd November, 2025, during which Diamond Jubilee Certificates were presented to Bro. Bart Bannigan PM, Bro. William McCallum, Bro. Robert Ferguson, Bro. Matthew Kerr PM and Bro. Robert Edwards PM to mark each of them having served Freemasonry for more than 60 years.

The installation of office-bearers of Lodge Battlefield No. 1258 took place on Saturday, 1st November, 2025, when Bro. Finlay Keith was installed as Right Worshipful Master.
As Lodge Buchanan is Bro. Finlay's mother lodge we were represented by RWM Bro. Fred Stibbs PM, who took part in the installation ceremony, Bro. Robert Edwards PM, Bro. Robert Tait PM and Bro. Derick Stibbs PM.
At our regular meeting on Monday, 17th February, 2025, Bro. Kenny Wilson, PM, of Lodge Kirkhill No. 1230 was conferred with Honorary Membership of Lodge Buchanan by Bro. Steven McGuire, PM, IPM.

It was celebration time for Buchanan's B team at Cambuslang Bowling Club in August, this year, when they retained the Frank Elliot Dobie Trophy.
Fred Stibbs, Jim McGall, skip, Bobby Tait and Alan Fellows have now won the trophy for the third year in a row.

The lodge held its installation on Friday, 6th December, 2024, when Bro. Frederick Cresswell Shepard-Stibbs was installed for the second time having previously been Right Worshipful Master in 1995-1996.
The ceremony was attended by almost 100 brethren which included a large and distinguished deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lanarkshire Middle Ward headed by Substitute Provincial Grand Master Bro. Colin Campbell.
Also in attendance were brethren from other constitutions and a number of reigning masters, some of whom are pictured above.
